These sculptures reference both the figure and landscape in an intentionally ambiguous manner. They deal with growth, transformation, regeneration, vulnerability, fragility and temporal states of being. The unpredictable nature of the sculptural material allows me to address a core interest in the creative process: surrendering the compulsion of control. I think this is where some of the most interesting things in life and art happen.
